Why Should YOU Consider Blogging For Your Business?

I’ve been on a mission lately to help more people understand why they should be blogging for their business.

Personally I love blogging because it allows anyone to have a platform for sharing content and information.  You can blog about any topic your like and you’ll do well if it happens to be something that many others are interested in as well.

For me, it is about building business, working from home and making money online.  All of this can be done through blogging.

When talking to others about blogging the one statement I hear most often  is “oh, I’m not a blogger”

Well, News Flash!  Neither was I.

I could read, write, and speak English and actually enjoy writing but in no way considered myself a blogger until I discovered that I could make money online through blogging.

This got me to thinking about the perception of blogging and I realized most people just don’t know what this is all about. The majority of people have no idea they can actually make a nice living this way.

What is a blogger?

A blogger is basically someone that maintains and updates a blog through daily or weekly blogging.

So, What is a blog?

 To put it as simply as possible – a blog is a type of website that is usually arranged in chronological order from the most recent ‘post’ (or entry) at the top of the main page to the older entries towards the bottom

Blogs are usually (but not always) written by one person and are updated pretty regularly. Blogs are often (but not always) written on a particular topic – there are blogs on virtually any topic you can think of. From photography, to spirituality, to recipes, to personal diaries to hobbies – blogging has as many applications and varieties as you can imagine.   Source

Why should you be blogging no matter what your business type?

Here are a couple of excerpts on why your business should be blogging and how it can benefit you.

Every day, people spend hours on the Internet (you may be one of them), so it’s a terrific place to connect with an audience. The best part is that starting a blog may be easier than you think.

The blog phenomenon
A blog can be used to further your business interests. Blogs have impacted the political sphere, introduced art to people, provided a channel for new concepts and connected millions across the globe.

The Internet has changed the landscape of marketing. Mark O’Brien, owner of web development firm Newfangled, said that companies now compete by documenting their expertise on their websites so that Google can discover them and then refer highly qualified prospects to the business when those prospects ask questions of Google which relate to that business’s expertise.

Within the past decade, blogs have reached new heights of popularity and relevance. So why not give it a try and see if it’s for you? Source

Helpful Content = Trust

Trust = Leads

Leads = Sales

By promoting active discussion on your company blog and then truly listening to what is said, you will constantly get questions from individuals wanting to find out more, much of which can then be turned into another blog post.

As you might imagine, this cycle of “teach then listen” can become an ever-flowing content factory for any company that takes the time to do this the right way.

Also, the comment section of a blog is your great opportunity to build a community of passionate individuals who appreciate your company’s brand and mission, thereby becoming your greatest advocates, on- and offline.  Source

    Agree to the point that blogging allows you to write content on what ever you feel like too.. but then it again becomes important that what ever content you are writing should be unique enough and get out things that makes it different from the others,.
